Born in Guyana, South America. In 2003, Jerry received M.F.A from The Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. In 1980 received B.S. in Art Education from Illinois State University. During his art teaching career in Guyana, he held the position of Chief Art Instructor at the E.R. Burrows School of Art from 1985 to 1988.
